My Story

Hi, I'm Kate.

Believe it or not, I wasn't always a fit person.

In fact, my first career was spent as an elementary school teacher, pouring all of my time and energy into my students and saving very little for myself. Back then, my mornings started with a sugary Starbucks drink, my lunches were often a bagel with fat free cream cheese, and dinner was a massive salad with maybe a little chicken if I had any.

I wasn't overweight, but I wasn't confident with my figure either. I felt soft, tired, hungry and insecure. I thought if I just ate as little as possible and did cardio at the gym a few nights a week, that would be enough. The idea of eating protein and lifting weights was strictly for men or bodybuilders, and that was not the look I was going for.

After nearly 10 years working as a teacher, the stress, long hours, and my lack of self-care had taken a toll. I remember looking in the mirror one day and realizing that while I wasn't "out of control," I wasn't truly thriving either. I was going through the motions, and it showed.

That was my turning point. I decided that if I wanted to feel alive, strong, and happy in my own body, I had to take ownership of my health. I left teaching and threw myself into learning everything I could about fitness and nutrition. It wasn't an overnight transformation. It took years of trial, error, and self-discovery to create something that actually worked for me — not a fad diet, not an instant fix, but a sustainable way of eating that I loved.

My first chapter in this new world was in Vermont, where I spent three years working in clinical weight loss. Sitting across from real people in real struggle — week after week, plan after plan — taught me something no textbook could: lasting change isn't built on willpower or restriction. It's built on habits people can actually live with. That experience shaped everything that came after.

From there, I became a full time personal trainer, and I've now spent 15 years total in the fitness world — coaching women through workouts, through plateaus, through hormonal shifts, through life. I've watched what works and what doesn't, in hundreds of bodies and hundreds of kitchens, and that's the perspective I bring to every woman I work with today.

Now, I live in Tulum, Mexico, surrounded by the ocean and sunshine, and I feel more grounded and confident than ever. I spend my mornings walking my dog in the jungle, coaching women virtually all over the world, and showing them that taking care of yourself doesn't have to be complicated or overwhelming. Start Here.

Over time, I've learned how much food quality and portion size matters — not just calories. I've seen firsthand how nutrition affects hormones, mood, and energy, especially for women between 35 and 65. That's the lens I bring to all of my coaching, and it's the foundation of the Quick Minutes – Real Food Guide.

My approach is simple

It's clear, and it's designed to help you feel amazing without obsessing over food. I'm not perfect — and I don't want to be.

The way I eat now is how I choose to eat about 90% of the time. It's a guide, not a script. I don't have "cheat days" or "cheat meals" because eating well is how I choose to take care of myself every day. I don't see food as good/bad or reward/punishment. The occasional croissant, gelato, pasta, cake, or cookie indulgence is of course a part of my life — I just choose to see it as a celebratory food and not as an item on my weekly grocery list. When I find what foods work best in my body, going off the plan feels like a step in the wrong direction and away from feeling my best.

I want to be happy, strong, and confident, and I want that for you too. My message is simple: we deserve to feel powerful and energized at any age. What I share here is everything I've learned after years of experimenting, studying, coaching, and living this lifestyle.

If I can transform my body and my confidence at 46, so can you.
